As the transformation of Brooklyn’s 4th Avenue corridor began, JDS had an opportunity to bring a high-quality new development to Park Slope. Wrought in a unique grey brick framing a distinctive window pattern, Baltic integrates various marbles, granites, quartz, and labradorite, as well as woods such as walnut, to create a residential building that is consciously, but not conspicuously, modern. The sophisticated design, fine finishes, and quality construction embody the well-built ethos integral to each JDS building.

Gallery
To address secure pre-sales during the earliest phases of construction, JDS engaged artist and designer Anna Karlin. Instead of creating the standard sales office experience, Karlin created a sculpture gallery featuring the building’s materials that JDS had gone to great lengths to source and procure. Each sculpture was made from the palette of materials used in each room, thus allowing the sales team to guide guests though the gallery whilst being able to fully illustrate the building itself. All reception furniture and lighting was also custom made and designed by Anna Karlin.
