Top New York apartment buildings that stand out in the crowd

The reporters at Brokers Weekly share their top picks for new residential development buildings in New York City for 2017, including the American Copper Buildings by JDS Development Group and SHoP Architects. Touted for the “Best (and only) Skybridge”, American Copper presents a duo of dynamic luxury rental towers connected by a skybridge—an altogether sleek addition to the skyline of Manhattan. The three-level skybridge houses a large portion of the building’s 60,000 square feet of amenities, including a 75-foot lap pool, hammam, and resident’s lounge. The comprehensive list of amenities is on par with offerings for a condominium building, including private spa and treatment rooms, children’s play room, catering kitchen, private event studio, landscaped park, personal training, yoga and Pilates studios, underground parking, and concierge. “This neighborhood needed a shot of adrenaline, something refreshing,” said Michael Stern, founder and managing partner of JDS Development. “We’re bringing a dynamic piece of architecture.”
