It’s Official: Brooklyn Is Getting That 1,000-Foot Skyscraper

Top New York City real estate developer JDS Development Group is adding height and style to Brooklyn’s skyline with the construction of its recently announced tower at 9 Dekalb Avenue. The 1,066-foot tall property, designed by SHoP Architects, functions as a visual extension of the hundred-year-old, landmarked Dime Savings Bank, which will be incorporated into its structure. The 73-story tower will house about 500 residential units, as well as a to-be-announced retailer in the renovated bank building.
