Designed by Roman and Williams, The Fitzroy—JDS Development Group’s latest West Chelsea condominium—evokes classic Manhattan landmarks like the Woolworth Building and Alwyn Court through its Art Deco-inspired façade of green terra-cotta tile, produced by a 112-year-old family-owned factory in Europe, and its custom copper-trimmed windows. The Fitzroy is located just off the renowned High Line park at 24th Street in a neighborhood famed for the galleries, restaurants, and boutiques that run along its tree-lined streets.

Trend Report NYC: The Artful Lodger

As the worlds of fine art and high-end real estate become ever more entwined, JDS Development Group has taken the initiative to bring them even closer with striking results. For Baltic, the developer’s luxury condos in Brooklyn’s Park Slope, JDS worked with artist Anna Karlin to create a series of sculptures using the same materials from which the new property is being constructed. These unique works of art, carved from walnut, golden-gray brick, and brushed bronze, are currently on display in the Baltic sales office at 303 Bond Street in Brooklyn.
