The SHoP Architects-designed tower is 82 stories tall, and it is the world’s ​slenderest h​igh-rise. American Copper Buildings Begin to Welcome First Residents

The instantly recognizable new structures that are taking shape along the East River are the American Copper Buildings, two curving towers clad in 4.25 million pounds of raw copper, built by JDS Development and designed by SHoP Architects. The towers are home to 761 luxury residences, and their unique design offers both architectural interest and an impressive array of amenities. A three-story skybridge connects the two towers and sits suspended 300 feet in air. Just steps from the High Line, a modern icon is on the rise. On West 24th Street, The Fitzroy, a 10-story luxury residential project from JDS Development Group, has hit street level.
